Training

We provide certified training programmes on IATA Dangerous Goods (DG) and Aviation Security (AVSEC) in our State-of-art training facility at Bangalore.

IATA DG

Our Centre of Excellence, established in 2003, imparts  best-in-class Dangerous Goods training approved by IATA and DGCA.

Training is co-ordinated and delivered by a team of accredited, qualified and experienced instructors.

  • Category 1 – Shippers and persons undertaking the responsibility of shippers, including operator’s staff acting as shippers.
  • Category 3 – Staff of freight forwarders involved in processing dangerous goods.
  • Category 6 – Operators and ground handling agents’ staff accepting dangerous goods.
  • Category 7 – Operators and ground handling agents’ staff accepting cargo, mail or stores (other than dangerous goods).
  • Category 8 – Operators and ground handling agents’ staff involved in the handling, storage and loading of cargo, mail or stores and baggage.
  • Category 9 – Passenger handling staff.
  • Category 10 – Flight crew members, load masters, load planners and flight operations officers/flight dispatchers.
  • Category 12 – Security staff who are involved with the screening of passengers and their baggage and cargo, mail or stores.

AVSEC

AVIATION SECURITY TRAINING INSTITUTE (ASTI) was established in 2014 to impart AVSEC training to Blue Dart personnel and other entities whose security programme is approved by BCAS.

ASTI is approved by DG – BCAS and functions as per the provisions of the regulatory directive. Training is conducted by a team of trained and certified instructors in compliance with the National Civil Aviation Security Training Programme (NCASTP) of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Ministry of Civil Aviation.  The faculty has varied experience of over 25 years in Aviation Security.
