has always been instrumental in founding and spearheading industry organizations and has made substantial contributions to the
to the development of the Indian
Express Industry.
He is the Founder Chairman of the Express Industry Council of India, which is an association of all companies in the business of Courier and Express Cargo.
He was also responsible for the
setting up of the Domestic Courier Common-user
Terminals at the Mumbai, Delhi
, Calcutta and Chennai Airports,
and the International Courier Common-user Terminals at Mumbai and Delhi Airports, a first-time private-public partnership.
His efforts have resulted in making
the Express Industry Council of
India the first private custodian
of courier loads, with management
control over operations.
Tushar Jani was the Chairman
of CII National Committee on Logistics as also
the Chairman of the Maharashtra
State Council of the Confederation
of Indian Industry (CII) for the
year 2000 - 2001. He is now president of the Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India(AMTOI).
Tushar is very actively involved in various social welfare projects - the Tuberculosis Research Centre at Bhavnagar, rehabilitation programs for the earthquake-affected people in Gujarat and upliftment of rural areas in Sihor Dist, Bhavnagar.
At 54, Tushar continues to give his leadership and guidance to his own staff, entrepreneurs, industry associations and partners, and to the community at large.
